ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP AND PLACEMENT CELL:

The Internship and Placement Cell (IP Cell) at Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU) Mumbai is a student-led initiative dedicated to guiding and supporting students in achieving their career aspirations. Guided by a team under the aegis of our Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Dilip Ukey, and our Registrar, Prof. (Dr.) Prakash Chaudhary, led by our Internship and Placement Officer and Faculty-in-Charge, the Cell acts as a bridge between the student community and the professional world, working year-round to secure quality internships and placements while building strong ties with law firms, corporates, organizations, and legal practitioners.

Our approach includes placement weeks, guest lectures, and sustained engagement with recruiters. We uphold professionalism, integrity, and fairness in all interactions, ensuring students are prepared for diverse career paths in law and beyond.

To enhance communication and networking, the IP Cell actively engages on LinkedIn, showcasing the achievements of MNLU students and connecting them with recruiters. This digital presence strengthens relationships, fosters mutual understanding, and creates opportunities beneficial to both students and employers.

Focused on innovation and adaptability, the IP Cell continually evolves its strategies to meet the changing needs of students and recruiters. Through collective efforts, we empower MNLU students, support their transition from academia to the professional realm, and contribute to the advancement of the legal profession.

PAST ACTIVITIES / EVENTS CONDUCTED

The Internship and Placement Cell has built the following team for its activities -

Kusum Sharma holds over six years of experience in project management, research, human resources and academic administration. She has worked with leading institutions such as IIT Bombay and IIM Mumbai, contributing to large-scale research projects, data analysis, stakeholder coordination, workshop planning and academic publications. She holds an M.Com. in Management Studies, a PGDBA (HR) and is UGC-NET qualified in Management. She has completed certifications in project management and is pursuing her Ph.D. in HR at Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
